Typically candidates have not campaigned on election day…the simple fact they are says they know this is a tight race…or, they want us to believe that anyway.
I’m surprised at news like this : http://www.smh.com.au/world/us-election/voting-machine-changes-obama-to-romney-20121107-28×09.html I mean, don’t you have an independent electoral commission or something to make sure all voting booths are standard and fair?
Yeah, we do, there are always a few glitches every year, just sets up “the machine” to start lawsuits and get people even more divided and angry…
Any exit polls? I can’t find any information on who might be winning… I guess voting is still on, right?
Have you voted?
Yeah, no real results of any value will be available for a couple more hours. I voted just sitting around waiting for results to come in. I am far more interested in some state races and state constitution amendments than I am the President…neither Romney or Obama were anyone I could support…I lost that race months ago.
wow, already pretty tight race…should get better, conservatives are just getting off work. 🙂
Why don’t they hold the election on a weekend?

fascinating 🙂
I’ll bet you a beer that Obama wins, collectible next time we meet up.
LOL, I have, for a long time, regrettably assuming that Obama will win again, really it doesn’t matter much, Romney isn’t that different, and neither of them represent me. Fortunately, the executive branch is typically the least consequential. The GOP deserves to lose this election for the weak ticket they put up and slapped their rank and file in the face.
I’ll buy you a beer just the same though. 🙂
LOL! Ok, we’ll call it a draw, and toss to see who buys 🙂
Sounds good to me!
Ok, Obama wins. Looks like we owe each other a 50-50 chance at a beer each 🙂
LOL
Gas prices climb, stock market plummets, post election USA.
Really? Here the market jumped up 0.7% when the winner was declared

Oh, I see – they’re worried about the “fiscal cliff”. That only makes sense if they believe government spending cuts will hurt the economy, which means they must believe government spending increases would help the economy, which means that the right way to help the economy is stimulus spending. Clearly there are quite a few Keynesians with money in the market.
This newly elected government is only going to spend more, neither major party here understands the concept of spending cuts, just shuffling it around to play some creative bookkeeping games. My state government is going to be totally screwed now, all three branches controlled by one party…NEVER a good thing.
On the bright side, when all branches of government are controlled by one party in a modern democracy, it never seems to last very long.
That’s very true.
